"Twirl"

Last week, the word "Twirl" in illustration Friday.com. At first, the spoon star in hot cholocate, although it was not challenge. I decide to draw above here.

During research the Ice Dance's body images from Google, I was making the modelling clay into a woman with her body sharp. It was challenge and I took 3 hours to complete it.

I love a beautiful & light blue dress woman skates as the Ice Dance.

  1. Wonderful, Sasha! One more thing though: please include some typography so the finished piece looks like something: a website, a magazine cover, a children's book or CD or a poster or... anything you like!
We want to see your skills at graphic design on each assignments as well as your artistry :^)

    1. I agree with you. I thought the digital paint (Adobe photoshop) was part of graphic design. And I did add the clay sculpture with adjustment layers (in photoshop).

Sure. I will try to add typography, although I didn't know what's title. Should I add "Twirl" on this image. Or "Ice Dance & Twirl"? :)

  2. Hey Sasha,
These are amazing and incredibly original. They remind me of some of my favourite children's books illustrations by Barbara Reid.
If you don't know who she is, here's a link to her portfolio.

    1. Thank you. lol. I did view Barbara Reid's website... awesome! I didn't know about this artist woman has already a good reputation or famous. I have learned something new from her. I love her professional portfolio.

I also love another company called Rednose Studio, because it looks cool pictures. Both of them are focusing on Clay scriptures rather than graphic design.

I would try to add something image that is part of both graphic design and clay. :)

Seth Godin's Blog: Speakerphone voice

When the speakerphone is on in the conference room, do you talk differently?  by Seth Goldin It's pretty common. We breathe from a different spot, hold our chest differently, constrict our throats and generally try to shout our words across the ocean. The people listening on the speaker are used to it. The people in the room with you, less so. Human beings don't have a long cultural history with microphones. We don't instinctively understand that they actually work. So we shout instead. And shouting changes how we're believed, trusted and ultimately heard. Learning to use a microphone is a great skill. When you speak normally, it turns out that the microphone has plenty of volts, watts and amps on hand to move your voice all the way to Latvia if you want it to. And then your words will actually be heard. Resource:  Godlin, Seth. "Speakerphone Voice. "  Sethgodin Typepad  Last Modified: Nov 11 2017. http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2017/...
